I've only driven about 2k miles on these tires but so far they have been incredible. Super comfy on the road and pretty quiet. I aired them down on the trail and handled dirt and rocks like it was nothing. Literally 0 complaints about this tire so far!

Since 1962, Taiwan-based Kenda Rubber Industrial Company has produced pneumatic tires at different facilities worldwide. They prioritize performance and value when producing tires for industrial machinery, trailers, cars, motorcycles, ATVs, golf cars, light trucks, and bicycles. In 2010, Kenda Tires ranked as the 27th-largest tire manufacturer in the world. For more than 60 years, they have been producing top-notch rubbering rings for a variety of vehicles for customers in North America, Europe, and Asia.
The Kenda Klever R/T KR601 is a rugged, all-terrain tire that can handle challenging terrain without compromising the ride quality and comfort.
But is it the best tire for your car and your budget? Let's take a look at a review of Kenda Klever R/T KR601 to see if it's the right tire for you.
Features and Benefits
All-terrain tires work well on jeeps, SUVs, and light trucks and are made to perform on any terrain. However, an all-terrain tire might let us down by not offering a smooth ride. If you want a tire that performs better on all types of terrain while also providing a comfortable ride, knowing the features and benefits of the Kenda Klever R/T KR601 will be beneficial to you.
- Improved traction: An aggressive tread pattern improves the ability to grip soft, loose, and uneven terrain. In addition to helping with difficult mud, sand, and gravel conditions, the tire features strong upper sidewall tread blocks with an aggressive design that also provide long-lasting wear and protection against impact damage.
- Enhanced durability: The Klever R/T KR601 has a 3-ply sidewall for increased durability, as well as an optimized design and all-season rubber compound for improved traction and performance on- and off-road. Moreover, the stronger polyester casing and aggressive sidewall pattern protect the tire from damage and punctures.
- Better handling: Because the tread maintains constant road contact, the Klever R/T KR601 is simple to maneuver. With better road contact, the ideal tread design enhances steering response and driving stability.
- Extensive self-cleaning: An extensive groove pattern improves hydroplaning resistance while maintaining a tidy footprint. Additionally, a large groove pattern boosts the ability to eject mud, snow, and rock.
- Great grip: With its high sipe density and aggressive tread design, the Klever R/T KR601 boosts wet traction. Able to be pinned with studs, where permitted, for better traction in severe ice and snow, the tire also utilizes a strategic upper sidewall that allows for great grip by creating additional biting edges.
Pros and Cons
Is it the right tire for your Jeeps, light trucks, or SUVs? Let’s take a look at its pros and cons before expressing our final opinion:
- Triple Threat Sidewall (3 full carcass plies, aggressive sidewall tread, robust bead protector) to prevent damage
- Blocks in the center of the tread interlock for aggressive off-road and snow performance.
- Large groove pattern to reduce the risk of hydroplaning
- High sipe density for superior traction on snow, ice, and wet surfaces
- Can be pinned with TSMI #15 studs, where permitted, to improve traction in harsh winter weather
- High sipe density to offer quiet and comfortable ride
Regardless of its features and benefits, these tires may lack in the following areas:
- No mileage warranty
- Ride quality could be improved

Happy with the tires!
Really like the look of the Klever R/T, so far I've been impressed with the tires through dry summer weather and rain both on and off the trail. I have them on my Ford Bronco and the tires seem to be quite at least not any louder than the factory 35 Goodyears. Can't comment on winter traction yet as I haven't had them through a winter yet but I'm confident based on other reviews they'll perform just as well.
Had these tires on my 2009 Ram 1500 for about 10k miles, then moved them to my 2017 Ram 1500 and put another 35k miles on them. Now I'm starting to get vibrations and uneven wear. I mostly drive city, highway, and light gravel roads. They've always handled deep snow well. I've done several 8??'hour road trips, and once I'm above 70 mph the tires start getting loud. I probably could've squeezed another 20k miles out of them, but the wear is catching up.
I've put about 2,500 miles on these tires, and they've seen it all. Snow and ice, rain and mud. They perform very well in the snow, and I was beyond impressed in the slick clay mud I've been through. These tires clean out very well and handle great on the roads. Even going 80 down the freeway, theres only a slight hum. Only took 1.5 ounces of weight to balance my 285/75R18s. I'm definitely buying another set when the time comes
Great tire, second set, first set got 60k mi and still had tread left, I didn't rotate as much as I should and only aligned once even after lots of off-road/lease road miles.
