Bridgestone Tires

Established in 1931, Bridgestone is among the largest tire manufacturers in the world. The Japanese tire maker has over 181 facilities in 24 countries that roll out hundreds of tires to meet the ever-increasing demand for Bridgestone tires worldwide. When it comes to tire innovations, the brand has been successful in developing Japan's first steel radial tires for trucks (1962) and the first passenger vehicle radials (1964). In 1986, Bridgestone launched Run-Flat Technology, a major safety innovation, which allows vehicles to continue travelling at 50 mph even after a complete loss of air. While the acquisition of the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company in 1988 made it a recognized player in the global arena, the brand has a strong legacy in motorsports too – it has been a regular supplier at Formula 1 and currently a Worldwide Olympic Partner (since 2014). With sub-brands like Fuzion, Firestone, and SureDrive, Bridgestone boasts famous product families, including the Potenza, Alenza, Turanza, Dueler, Blizzak, Driveguard, Weatherpeak, and Ecopia.
